Chapter 132: My Sister Rachel

"San Ge (Third Brother), still sleeping?"

When I woke up, I saw my sister standing at my room door, smiling at me. Grabbing my glasses, putting it on, and looking at my sister.

She sat on my bed, and we had a chat. At that time, I could not believe my sister is already a married person. I still remembered the time we had together since she was a kid. Now, she has grown beautifully and now married. Scratching my head, smiling, saying to her, "You are already a married woman."

On 13 March 2010, my sister Rachel and her husband Ken Kiong had a wedding ceremony. I was her videographer. When I was shooting videos for them, I felt my heart was very touched, and at the same time, blessing her and her husband. I kept on reminding her, "Rachel, you must stay happily with Kiong. However, always remember to put God first in your life. Remember both of you must always go to worship God on Sunday, and have a close relationship with God. Read the bible, pray and worship God. Though Kiong must take care of you, you must also have a responsibility to bring him closer to God."

When I saw Kiong, I said, "From now my sister will be in your hand. Though God is in charge of both yours and hers. But you, as a husband, must play a very important role, that is to love my sister for the rest of your life."

1 Corinthians 7:3
"The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband."

Chapter 131: As I Tithe

These few months, I had been facing financial problems - no business in both video and Prudential. I was really panic about my life. And I did not know what to do with my life. During that time, all I can do is to sit down and pray.

However, I had a strong sense telling me that I must be faithful to God. I must believe God is my provider. No matter what I had faced previously, I did see the miracles which God worked in my life especially tithing.

Last two weeks, I was in a poor condition. I only had a little bit of my money left. What did I do about it? At that time, I was busy with my sister's wedding. I was her videographer. Spending for about two weeks preparing the videos, I did not receive any business at all.

After sister's wedding, I went to church on that Sunday, while worshiping God, thinking in mind, "God, I gonna honor You with what I had left. I do believe You will provide. You are my shepherd."

With all faith and confidence, including joy, I tithe my money (considering all, not necessary exactly 10% of our income), saying "God, I trust you. God, I trust You." After that, my heart was filled with peace, and knowing God is with me. My heart kept telling me, "You did the right thing. Now go in peace and God shall be with you."

When I stepped out of the church after worship service, I received a phone call, "Jack, we need you to do videography for Pre-Wedding. There will be on both Monday and Tuesday."

When I returned home, opening my facebook, I saw my client saying, "Jack, I want to buy insurances for both of my children. When can we meet?"

When I stayed at home, making the video of my sister's wedding, I did not ask a single cent from her and her husband, I truly wanted to bless them with my videography, and I love my sister. Therefore, my father came to me and give me money, "Jack, I am pleased with what you have done for your sister. I am very happy. And now you deserve it."

When I went to shoot video on Monday, one of the workers, Ah Yan, laughed at me, saying, "Jack, I wanna sympathize you. Tomorrow (Tuesday), you need to shoot two couples for Pre Wedding. You have no rest in between. Oh pity!"

I immediately praised God for His faithfulness. God did not only provide two video business on Monday and Tuesday, but three altogether.

Readers, this is no joke. God is watching us.
As I tithe, God remembers...

Malachi 3:10
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."

Chapter 130: A Frog In The Well

After so many days with people in society, I began to understand I was a frog in the well. I think I was drowned in this for a long time. Now I really understand it is good to expose outside to gain knowledge about my future goal.

Chinese saying - A Frog in the Well.
"A person who thinks that he knows a lot of things, but he knows too little."

I really need to admit that I know too little about the things around me. I really need to catch up even faster to keep myself on track in society. I can never learn enough in this world. I think I made a wise choice. If I continue to stay in church, I will never know that I am living in a worldwide society with full of challenges.

After my prudential training, Michael came to fetch me. We continued to meet his friends. During the visitation, I realized that Michael is actually the smartest among all his friends. Sadly to say, this is not a criticism. Seriously speaking, I taught him WELL since we met in church during the time of Labuan. He is teachable and also a fast learner.

I was quite disappointed to see that some of his friends were frogs in the well. As I had conversation, they were all as if knowing everything, yet they were all saying the things which they did not really understand. They were all comparing knowledge and trying to be the outstanding one. As for Michael, I found him remained silent and cool. He was just nodding his head and smiled. He spoke less among all his friends.

Along the way home, he said "Jack, actually what they said just now, I truly know that they do not really understand what they are trying to say. I think you are right. Sometimes it is the best to keep quiet and let them do the talking. If I really do not know, I will ask and make myself clear."

"Michael, very well. I am glad you have grown up so much. They are all just frogs in the well. It is always to ask when you really do not know anything. It is better for people to say you are NOOB when you ask, rather than pretending to know something. it is better to humbly ask and receive what you need."

I Concluded, "Michael, 'ASK' is actually part of the way to be successful as the Lord gives us a freedom to ask Him."

Isaiah 7:11
"Ask the LORD your God for a sign, whether in the deepest depths or in the highest heights."

Matthew 7:7-8
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."

Chapter 129: Who Will Be Left?

It's been a month for not blogging, yet learning so much from others.

During February (ten days), I had been to KL for Prudential Training. Of course, at the same time, I was very excited and happy to meet my best brother, Michael. We had a lot to share with each other. He even introduced a lot of his friends to me. I really enjoyed my days in KL, feeling that I was actually entering into a greater exposure.

On 22 February, I went to attend a Prudential seminar which trained the new agents to be a good and professional ones who can really help the need of others.

During the seminar, I met many friends. We had a lot to share about our future. Some had simple dreams; some just wanna have an ordinary life; some wanna be the top agents throughout Malaysia... As for me, I still stay focused on my goal.

I met a guy named Darren. He was actually a smart guy who really knew how to figure out the solutions in hard times. I really admired him one thing. He did things directly. His current salary was more than RM3000. As for a new agent, I can say he was extremely good. Well, KK is not KL. Therefore, I do believe the difference between the people in these both places.

As the days were passing by, I had lunch with Darren. We talked alot about how to engage with clients. Then he looked at the agents in the cafeteria, and grinned, he said, "Not all of us will stay in this career."

I understood what he was trying to say. He was arrogant in saying, "Look at them. As you see their actions, you can actually tell who can really stay in this line."

"I have no comment." I replied.

He looked at me, and smiled, "Why do you say that? Do you not agree?"

I smiled and said politely, "Bro, who really can stay in this career? It does not matter me. As long as we are doing the right thing, we know what we are doing. Definitely, we will succeed in life."

"Well said, mate. We will see who will be left." He grinned.

"However, I do admire you. I believe you will be very successful in life." Enviously I said.

He stood up from the chair, walked towards me and tapped on my shoulder, "Bro, how can you say that? This world is equal. We all stand equally. Everyone was given an opportunity to fight for it."

This phrase really inspired me. I was encouraged and yet at the same time, worrying about my goal whether I can be able to achieve. Before Darren left me alone, he again said in arrogance,

"Hey Dude! You looked worried. I can smell you. Put that away."

Matthew 6:27
"Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
