Chapter 142: The Suicide

Continued from the previous chapter -
Chapter 141: Ah Bii

"Yes! Around 2:45AM."

I continued to ask the guard, "So which floor did she go to?"

"I have no idea."

I was frustrated with the security guard. He was not doing his work at all. Immediately, I brought Ah Bii to walk on the staircase. By each floor, we would not miss the opportunity to notice his mother who was in sorrow.

When it came to fifth floor, I heard a woman weeping. That voice was definitely Ah Bii's mother! We quickly rushed towards the voice to find his mother as soon as possible.

As we were getting closer, voice was getting louder. And I could hear somehow like curses towards someone. Obviously, the curses were against a lady. When we reached there, to my surprise...!!!

There was no mistake! That was Ah Bii's mother, Catherine. However, she was sitting at the cliff of the building. In any minute if she did anything foolish, she would jump off the cliff in no time. In front of her was a door of another apartment. She was yelling like nobody's business. The problem is...

NO ONE WAS THERE TO HELP!!!

Catherine was pointing at the door and sorrowfully shouted, "I curse you, wicked woman who snatched my husband! Go to hell and die!"

When Ah Bii saw this incident, he was shocked and he could not stop his tears falling down his cheek. He screamed as if his mother was DEAD!

"Mama!!! Please!!! Don't leave me alone!!!"

The situation was so tense, everyone was crying. At that time, I was the only one who was conscious. Then I shouted,

"Aunt! Look at us! Look here!"

Catherine turned and see us standing at a distance. She shouted,

"Do not come any closer! Or I will end my life by jumping off the cliff!"

Readers, I thought I could be able to see this in drama or movie. I could not imagine this really happened in my life! I pleaded,

"NO! Aunt, do not do that! Look at your son! He is here! He needs you! How can you leave him alone?!"

Ah Bii was only crying, and dared not saying anything. Catherine looked at her son, and said, "Sorry, my dear son. Mama has failed you. Mama is no longer worthy to live in this world. You need to take care of yourself when I am gone."

"NO! Aunt! You are too selfish! You only care about yourself! How can you do this to your only child?!"

"Jack, you will never understand aunt's feeling." She said as I slowly got closer to her without letting her noticing.

"Aunt, listen to me! Though I am not that experienced in life. Yet I have to say, you cannot leave your son alone here. Look at you! Was it not even more foolish for you to end your life and let your adulterous husband to get what he wants? You think it's worthy?"

Catherine was shocked when I said this. She hesitated in thoughts, and I got even closer to her. At that time, three more security guards came to the rescue. I continued, "What do you receive when you died?"

"Jack... I..."

"No. Aunt! You need to..."

"NO! Jack, You shut up! You don't understand!" then she realized there were secuirty guards in the midst of us. She shouted,

"STAY BACK! If you come any closer, I will jump off!"

Without considering, I jumped towards her and grabbed her arm in no time! When I grabbed her arm strongly, she immediately jumped off the cliff and cried,

"Don't force me!!!"

Ah Bii cried and screamed, "MAMA!!!"

I was pulled to the cliff and I was praying in heart. "NO! I do not expect to see someone dead."

And I sustained my force in pulling her up, while she struggled herself by moving around in the air. I could feel that my hand was about to release her off. My muscles were tense, about to tear off! My sweat was dropping down to my chin, and my face was red. I felt that time, though few seconds, passed like end of days. And all I could hear was the cries of Ah Bii. Oh God! No! Then I realized one stupid thing about Malays.

"WHAT THE HELL you guys doing there, guards! COME and help!"

The guards were stunned for a few seconds and finally came to senses. Together four of us pulled up Catherine.

When all of us were sitting on the ground, I felt that my hand, though numbed, saved a life of a person. That was amazing. Ah Bii was hugging his mother tightly.

"Jack, I hate you! Why don't you guys just let me die?!"

At that time, I was grasping for breath. "Jack, do you know this wicked woman snatched my husband away. What do I have now? I did everything for him. And this is how he repaid my love?"

"Aunt, this is not true. What can you gain when you die?"

From that turning point, the gospel was shared.

Chapter 141: Ah Bii

"Jack, please wake up! I am scared!"

When I opened my eyes, I heard Ah Bii, my so-called stepbrother weeping besides me. He was only ten years old. I was still feeling blur and rubbing my eyes to get a clear view of the situation.

"What happened, Ah Bii?"
"My mother will commit suicide soon!"

Immediately, I got up and looked into his eyes. (At that time, the room was dark.) He was full of tears. Knowing he was not lying, I said,

"Cool down, ok? Tell me what actually happened?"

He began by saying his mother called him and tell him to take care of himself. He also said his mother sounded sorrowful and lost hope in life. I remembered the most is this sentence...

"Ah Bii, after I am gone, you must take care of yourself. When you grow up, do not be like your father."

This is REAL incident! Someone would be ending her life in any minute. Then feeling panic, I asked, "Where would your mother be right now?"

Both of us remained silent for a while, then he said,

"I remember my mother told me that that lady was living near to our house."


Without hesitation, I got changed and both of us went out. At that time, when we looked at the time, it was 3AM in the middle of night. Feeling cold, both of us were shivering. Then I asked,

"Where is the house of that lady?"

"I don't have any idea. What should we do now?"

I went to ask the security guard in that block, Ah Bii just followed me closely. I described the outlook of Ah Bii's mother to many security guards. And one of the security guards said, "Sorry. We did not notice this woman before." (in Malay)

Ah Bii was losing hope and cried, "My mother will die in any minute. Jack, please! What should we do?!"

When we were about to leave that building block, the security guard stopped us

"Wait! I guess I noticed a short woman walked past this building block." (in Malay)

Immediately, we rushed to the next block, asking a lazy security guard who was sleeping in a room. That guard was supposed to look after the safety of that block.

"Do you see a short woman taking this lift just now?" (in Malay)

The sleepy security guard was pondering a while...


"Yes! Around 2:45AM."

Readers, this incident happened ten years ago. The venue was Api Api Center (opposite Centerpoint) Whatever I said here is 100% true.

Chapter 140: One Different Thing

People being asking me why my blog has stopped for a period. The reason is that I have been super busy and focus on my work.

God has been guiding me and directing me to the goal. I still focus on my goal. I still remember what I need to do. I am still the same Jack who started the first chapter in this blogspot.

Though I did not write blog for a long time, I truly experienced a lot of things in life. And God has been blessing me abundantly. People said I am considered lucky and they were envious about my life. I received different kind of video projects, finding myself adapting into a life of videography. A deeper thought, a passionate soul for my own future.

To speak the truth, I am not lucky. I am just the same as anybody else. However, there is one thing different - God's grace. If you wanna say my life is lucky, I would rather say by the grace of God, I sustain in life.

Many things did happened in my life within these two months. I apologized for not updating my life.

3) My 29th birthday with my dear.

4) 7K charity run in Sutera Harbor

5) Being to Ranau for Pre Wedding Project

6) Being invited to Le Meridien for a talk, actually to do a big video project.

7) Discussing a MV video with Jonathan Tse (He wants a MV video)

8) Joining Core Fitness to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I cannot remember much in last two months. Yet every moment is very meaningful. God really helps me through many hardships. Right now, I do have three things which people were struggling with -

Finance, Health, and Spiritual Life...
