Chapter 136: A Letter to Jusslee

My dear friend, brother in Christ, Jusslee,

How are you in Heaven now? God must be welcoming you into His embrace. Jusslee, you have overcome your sickness and sorrow through Jesus Christ. I am proud of you! Though you have brain cancer, you still face the days with faith. You are the man! Yes, you are...

Frankly speaking, I was really shocked when Jack Mok called me and said that you go to Heaven early this morning. That was really unexpected. I do not know what to speak. I remain silent and feel weird... What should I say? I do not even have a chance to say "goodbye", Jusslee.

I bless you to be with our Lord God Almighty in Heaven. One day when I return to Heaven, I believe you will have a lot of things to share with me how God treats you in Heaven. You will be a person who has better understanding of God because God is so close to you.

I, once was your leader; in Heaven, you may be my senior. Wait for me, brother. Now I cannot go there yet, because I have a greater purpose in life - to testify about Jesus Christ. Many things are yet to be accomplished. Remember our promise? To give glory to God in the world. Be the light of the world? Now you can enjoy your days with God.

As for me, Michael, Jeffrey and Jack, we still have a long journey to move on and carry our cross until this task is fulfilled. Jusslee, do not stop praying for us when you are resting well in Heaven. Care for our welfare, support us in doing God's mission.

Jusslee, as I am writing all these to you, my tears are rolling from eyes to cheek. Because you really mean to me as a brother in Christ. I do not know why. Suddenly, I miss you so much, recalling the times you served with me in church, and making foolish laughter and fun through videos, music, photography.

Brother, do continue to pray for me in Heaven. Once my task is accomplished, we will meet again in Heaven. At this time, would you do me one last favor? That is to pass a message to Jesus Christ saying that I love Him.

Rest in Christ forever. Thank You, Father for Jusslee's soul is rested in Your mighty hands.

Sincerely,
Jack Wong

Chapter 111: Agency

I will be an agent for Prudential Corporation. Yesterday I entered the company and looked around the boards which showed the people who had achieved their target.

I really admired those who worked really hard to change their life. They want to have a better life. As for me, I want an extraodinary life. I had been praying hard for my future at all times. God, have mercy. I am standing in a society without wings. I have no one to depend on except You, God.

Agent plays very importantly when he is meeting his clients. Agency is a relationship between an agent and a principal. Whatever he does on his business, he is representing the principal. The duties of an agent normally involve in a written contract. A contract contains terms and conditions about the agency and also on behalf of his principal. The principal will be responsible for all contracts which his agent has made. The agent needs to perform his works with care, skill and diligence. And an agent is supposed to bring good news to his clients about his products. Hence, if anything happens to the agent, the principal is in big trouble. However, the agents in Prudential Corporation are so confident that they definitely know they are trusting the right thing.

Therefore, the Prudential Corporation logo is...

"The Face You Can Trust"

It immediately strike me with a face of Jesus.

Jesus is the Son of God, yet He is also working as an agent between God and human. God is the "principal". Whatever Jesus does, God will be responsible. To bring the good news to the human, and save the lost... That's His work which God has sent Him to do. In order to gain access to God, Jesus is the agent (the way, the truth and the life). Now I understand being responsible as an agent for someone is extremely big. Furthermore, Jesus Christ paid His life, once for all, for the entire human races. How much can I feel that Jesus is in a big responsiblity of saving humanity?

Since Jesus had helped us to gain access to God, so we must be Jesus' agents to tell others about the relationship with God. To tell others about the Gospel so that they can be saved. This is an important agency.

Let's be agents for Jesus, so that He will bring good reports to Heavenly Father.

Start our agency now.

John 14:6
"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Chapter 110: Broken Into Thousand Pieces

"Jack..."
"What happened?"

She cried for minutes, and I waited patiently. She is a youth who used to share secret with me. And I become a "place" for her to release her sorrow.

"I felt that my life always face criticism. I am so sad."
"Tell me what exactly happened?"
I asked.

"Even my parents discouraged me and always put me to shame in front of others."
"What did they say?"

Readers, I kinda agree with the point that some parents (whether in purpose or not) always put their own children to shame. They discouraged the children and destroy their own children's reputation. This is very dangerous. It will in fact make their children disrespect them and hate them even more. However, I do not understand one thing, "Why did some parents destroy their children's reputation? And when the children rebel against them, they will say 'My children are very rude to me and always go against me!'"

Parents need to be careful of their words and actions. Unnoticedly, the children will hate their parents for life. Before they complained about their children's rebellions, they must think why their children acted in that way. The parents must indeed be responsible in what they had said and done to their children. They must be a good model for their children. Sorry, no offence... Some parents are really ridiculous!

Some parents (especially the Chinese) normally put their children into shame when they were having conversation with others, by saying to others...
"My son is very stupid."
"Wow! Your daughter is beautiful. But my daughter is very ugly."
"Look at your son, he is brillant. But my son is stupid."
"She know nothing, very useless one."
"Ha ha ha... Sorry, my friend. My daughter's hair is very ugly, right?"
"My son is a lazy pig. Always sleep. He knows nothing."

...or saying this to children
"Why is your hair so ugly?
"Why are you so ugly?"
"So stupid! So useless!"
"Look at your cousin. Why are you so stupid?"
"Very stubborn child. Always quarrel with me!"
"I tell you shut up! I am your mother (father)."
"Stop talking to me. Whatever I say is correct."

...or saying this to others when they are in the wrong (to cover their shame).
"Sorry. I am late because of my stupid child."
"Sorry. My son bah! Very stupid! Always make mistakes!"

...or saying this to their children when they rebel.
"What have I done wrong to my children? Why are they so stubborn?"
"I have many useless children. None of you wanna help me."
"Now you grow up, you leave me alone. You do not love me anymore."
"In future, when you have children, you will understand how I feel."
"Why am I suffering so much? You all are really useless!"
"No one understands me. I am so stressed and tired. And you children keep on giving me problems."

I am not critizing about "parents". I hope the parents will understand their children. Even though parents play importantly in supporting the family, even though parents might be stressed in their own lives, even though parents might have sad moments, PLEASE DO NOT HURT CHILDREN'S FEELING. It is not worth it when you have your children hating you. In conclusion, children are NOT toys. They need to be cared and loved. They are HUMAN! They publicly shamed their own children, do they know that the reputation of their children will be destroyed entirely? Where is their praise and compliments?

I show compassion towards this miserable girl. I truly understand how she felt. Her heart has broken into thousand pieces. All I can do is to ask my Heavenly Father to heal her wounds. As a brother in Christ, I comforted her by saying...

"My friend, you are precious in God's eyes. God will not put you to shame. Jesus loves you."

Ephesians 6:4
"Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord."

Chapter 108: Beginning of New Journey

Last night, Jonathan Tse, my buddy called me out for supper. We had our supper in Lido market at 1:30am. There were many people buying supper. I was thinking that this is extremely crazy because the food stall opened from 1am to 6am. What kind of stall is that? Yet many people went there for supper.

As we were eating, We discussed how our future plan gonna be. We might become working partner in future if God willing. I really knew that the life outside is much challenging, yet very fun. I like this challenge. I will continue on my fun journey with God.

Before supper, He brought me to his house where he does sound recording for a living. This guy is a talented person with full of zeal. As both of us talked about God's plan, we individually have our own view to do more for God's kingdom. He indeed is a good partner to work with. He showed me some of his songs. I find it decent. It was comfortable when I heard it. His new album "I'm alive" is about God. I was really encouraged that he continued to strike the best for God even when he was outside. Anyway, do support him. This is his link - Jonathan's Blogspot

When one is clear of what God has called him to do, he will continue on the fire in his heart. God has shown us His vision, that is why we know what we are doing.

At the beginning of new journey, everyone will face hardship and difficulty in life because everything is like starting all over again. Once we overcome the first hardest stage, we will continue to triumph over our foes in Christ.

God, bless the work of our hands.

Psalms 118:7
"The LORD is with me; he is my helper. I will look in triumph on my enemies."

Chapter 96: Doulos at Youth Cell

7 people from Doulos came to our Youth Cell and give us a 40 minutes presentation.

As one Mongolian woman was assigned into our group, she started to share about her life. Her English was not good, and she needed much effort to express herself and letting us knowing that Jesus Christ is really important in her life. As a conclusion, she was trying her best to convince the youths to put Jesus first into their lives.

She was not well-trained in her preaching and sharing. I was thinking that she was not even guided to know what she would be sharing to us. However, I appreciate her passion - to convince the youths in the right way. Her actions and her passion reminded me when I was in Myanmar mission.

When I was first sent to Myanmar for God's mission, I was not trained. I was not familiar with Bible. I only believed that Holy Spirit led me to that place and preach the gospel. At that time, when I was sharing the gospel, I was very passionate and kept on sharing about Jesus Christ. It was extremely difficult because I did not know any Theology. I only started my journey with God during that time. In other words, I did not have many testimonies to share too. Yet the Holy Spirit led me and guided me on sharing Jesus Christ. On that year in Myanmar, more than 300 people accepted Jesus Christ.

Therefore, as I looked back to this Mongolian woman, I did not despise her way of sharing. Though she was not trained, I appreciate her passion. That is why God always chooses those who have no experience before. Hence, those people will humble themselves and depend on God at all times.

After the sharing, Roy was singing "Light of the World". As the music went on, and Holy Spirit ministered us, Cava (one of our youths) bowed down and prayed. I was surprised that he actually did that. That was the touching moment when a person who was not passionate for Jesus Christ came to bow down and pray! God, I thank You for leading this young guy. It was indeed touching.

Luke 12:12
"for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say."

Chapter 75: A Second Chance

This afternoon, I was studying at McDonald in Api Api Center. While I was concentrating on my study – History of Christianity, suddenly I heard a loud voice from an uncle.

“GET OUT!!” (In Malay)

I turned my head immediately, seeing a Filipino kid standing besides me. He held up his dirty hands and said nothing. However, I could understand that he was asking me for money. His face looked sorrowful. People around me were thinking that he was pretending to be sorrowful. I felt insecure.

In my mind, I was thinking “Are my things safe?”
(Thinking that he was a thief)

The uncle (Malay) behind him kept shouting, You dirty boy! Get out of here! Don’t ask any money here!”

The kid moved away, when I was about to dig into my pocket. Then I saw another uncle (Chinese) giving the kid RM1, patting on his shoulder. The kid was very happy and he got out of the place.

Then I suddenly saw a picture in my mind - Jesus helping the poor. I felt regretted because I should have actually given money to this kid. Jesus always told us to love people including Community as well. But why do we think of ourselves first when the poor or the sick come to seek help from us?

Maybe because of the incident: Sony Ericsson S500i(Click the words see what actually happened)

The uncle continued to criticize, “This guy is a thief. They only know how to steal and ask for money. If you place your phone on the table, they will immediately steal it away without your notice!!”

Is it their fault to steal? Is it their nature to be thieves? If you were in their shoes, how do you feel? Whose fault is that? It is THEIR PARENTS!!! It is those irresponsible people who only know about sex intercourse and never care for the consequence of having babies!!! Do you think those kids wanna live like that? Wouldn’t they be jealous to those kids who are properly treated?

These poor kids were “like sheep, have gone astrayed”(Isaiah 53:6). No one guides them to be good. No one feeds them properly. Therefore, they live in SIN. Who taught them to steal? They were FORCED to steal because they need to survive too. Who will employ them? Everyone will think they are thieves; no one will employ.

God loves all the rejected ones. He even gives them a second chance to turn back to Him. Therefore, He sent His son, Jesus Christ to redeem us. Believing in Jesus Christ is our second chance. Jesus Christ helps the poor, heals the sick, and care for the needy. What about us? Our God loves everyone including the poor and sick. If I were given a second chance to give money to that same kid, I will give.

If you were to ask them this,
“When you were given a second chance to turn into good, and you will not live sorrowfully, will you accept it?”

Their answer will be “YES!!”

Jude 1:21
"Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life."

Chapter 43: Miss the Feeling

During the fellowship of family group, Dr Frank Gee, my lecturer, asked me, “Do you have any good news to tell us? How has God blessed your week?”

2 new friends who are non-Christians accepted Christ on last Saturday.” I gladly answered.

“That was indeed GREAT news, Jack! Praise the Lord!” he joyfully exclaimed.

Dr Frank Gee and his wife, Diane

These 2 new friends are the ones who will attend the Youth Alpha as I had mentioned in previous chapter. During the Earth Hour, I challenged the 2 new friends who were Non-Christians in youth cell. I was really glad that my youth really started to bring new friends into youth cell. I know that I need to grab every opportunity to share gospel to non Christians. I believe that it is not easy to bring new friends to church. My youth must be putting a lot of efforts to invite her friends to church. I did not want to waste her efforts and we bring no fruit in the end.

The good thing is that when the 2 new friends received Christ, my youths (two girls) were so happy! It seems that ASC youth has no one who received Christ for a long time. The moment I approached them and said, Good news! The new friends had just received Christ. Follow them up properly. Write this in your cell report.”

One of the girls was so joyfully that she was jumping up and down, lifting up her hands saying, Yahoo! Today is really my good day.”

This is the real joy which I had mentioned in Chapter 35: Unspeakable Joy. Even though I did not react like her, I was so joyful in my heart, praising God, saying, “God, all glory be to You. Thank You for using me in Your Kingdom”

It has been a long time that I did not share gospel. I have challenged only 6 persons to receive Jesus Christ last year: 2 in KK, 1 in Australia (through MSN) and 3 in Tawau. I know "6 persons" is very little, quite shameful. It is really joyful though when you see someone whom you challenge has received Christ.

ASC youth leaders and I

I kinda miss the feeling of evangelism.
God, I still remember my prayer request
– to preach the gospel in front of millions.

I wish that really happened in my life.
God, please fulfill my wish.

Please... God... (begging for God's mercy)

Romans 10:15
“And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

Chapter 17: Exorcism

Written on 5 November 2008

During one of our cellgroup fellowship, we discussed about casting out demons. Hirai asked each of us whether we have experienced about exorcism. Then Winston pointed at me, and says, “Jack, I thought you had experienced this before?”

Readers, can you believe Jack’s Stuff experienced this too? Heard of the movie – Exorcism of Emily Rose?
Do you think it is true that exorcism exists?
Here is my story.

_______________________________________

On 14 June 2006, 10am in the morning, Mary invited us to do the home blessing for her house. There were me, a pastor and a lady. Mary was a new Christian who just came to know Jesus at that very time. She is a married woman with two daughters.

When we are inviting Jesus to take care of that house, Mary suddenly felt unconscious and falls to the ground. We are shocked to see that! We saw her struggling on the ground, twisting her body up and down, moving like a worm and her face is full of sweat. The most obvious thing is that her eyes were fully in white and she was breathing in difficulty. At that time, we truly know that she was possessed by an evil spirit. She was tortured bitterly. If you had seen the movie: Exorcism of Emily Rose, you will understand what I am talking about.

In the holy name of Jesus Christ, We prayed for her and even ordered the evil spirit to get out of her. The movies always mislead the people. The handmade Cross, and the handmade Bible books are not the tool to drive the evil spirits away from the people. There is NO such thing as Holy Water. You do not need garlic or any nonsense to drive them away. ONLY by the holy name of JESUS CHRIST, all evil spirits will be driven away. Amen!

After praying, she started to feel better. She explained why she was possessed. She used to worship the demon before she came to know Jesus Christ. The demon did not want to let go of her. She still kept a mysterious “thing” which belonged to the demon under her bed because she doubted that Jesus Christ is the only one and true God. Immediately, Mary confessed her sin and went into the room to take the “thing”. When she was about to destroy the “thing”, she was possessed AGAIN!

Suddenly, Mary’s voice changed into a MONSTER’s voice. She was NOT herself anymore. She stood up and reacted differently. She jumped up and down, and shouted loudly. Her eyeballs turned into RED. As we prayed louder, the demon started to laugh even louder!! We grabbed hold of Mary tightly, but the demon’s power is overwhelming.

The most interesting thing is that the pastor’s voice CHANGED TOO!! Her voice sounded like a Godly man’s voice with strong authority! She kept repeating the sentence, “IN THE NAME OF JESUS, I commanded you to get out RIGHT NOW!” Immediately, the demon fled in fear and Mary was no longer possessed. She was saved by Jesus Christ

At last, I would like to say that demons, devils or evil spirits may be very scary to human beings. However, Jesus Christ is the only God whom demons, devils, and evil spirits are afraid of.

Philippians 2:10
“that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,”

Romans 14:11
“It is written: " 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.' "
_______________________________________

This testimony is true. It was witnessed by Jack’s Stuff. One thing I wanna emphasize – Why human tend to scare of demons more than Jesus? We human should fear Jesus more. Remember Jesus holds authority of your life and death. If you think God is funny, read this:

Luke 12:4 – 5
“I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him.”

Demons, devils and evil spirits are included in “those who kill the body and after that can do no more”.

Now you should know who you should fear.
