Chapter 131: As I Tithe

These few months, I had been facing financial problems - no business in both video and Prudential. I was really panic about my life. And I did not know what to do with my life. During that time, all I can do is to sit down and pray.

However, I had a strong sense telling me that I must be faithful to God. I must believe God is my provider. No matter what I had faced previously, I did see the miracles which God worked in my life especially tithing.

Last two weeks, I was in a poor condition. I only had a little bit of my money left. What did I do about it? At that time, I was busy with my sister's wedding. I was her videographer. Spending for about two weeks preparing the videos, I did not receive any business at all.

After sister's wedding, I went to church on that Sunday, while worshiping God, thinking in mind, "God, I gonna honor You with what I had left. I do believe You will provide. You are my shepherd."

With all faith and confidence, including joy, I tithe my money (considering all, not necessary exactly 10% of our income), saying "God, I trust you. God, I trust You." After that, my heart was filled with peace, and knowing God is with me. My heart kept telling me, "You did the right thing. Now go in peace and God shall be with you."

When I stepped out of the church after worship service, I received a phone call, "Jack, we need you to do videography for Pre-Wedding. There will be on both Monday and Tuesday."

When I returned home, opening my facebook, I saw my client saying, "Jack, I want to buy insurances for both of my children. When can we meet?"

When I stayed at home, making the video of my sister's wedding, I did not ask a single cent from her and her husband, I truly wanted to bless them with my videography, and I love my sister. Therefore, my father came to me and give me money, "Jack, I am pleased with what you have done for your sister. I am very happy. And now you deserve it."

When I went to shoot video on Monday, one of the workers, Ah Yan, laughed at me, saying, "Jack, I wanna sympathize you. Tomorrow (Tuesday), you need to shoot two couples for Pre Wedding. You have no rest in between. Oh pity!"

I immediately praised God for His faithfulness. God did not only provide two video business on Monday and Tuesday, but three altogether.

Readers, this is no joke. God is watching us.
As I tithe, God remembers...

Malachi 3:10
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."

Chapter 124: God Changes Life

In the dark period, lacking of money, thinking of something easy to grab some money...

In the darkness, it told me, "No business? Work in the pub is good. Or selling something illegal. Why work so hard for an income? Here it goes, come with me and you will see your reward."

At that time, I was craving for money. However, I was very clear that I could not sin against God. I must earn money which is legally pleased to God.
I MUST NOT SIN! God, I need to have finance to move on life. Why is the darkness knocking on my door? Is God still being in my life? I have lost my sense of God?

As I was thinking about money, I was going straight to Centerpoint. As I was entering the entrance, I saw two girls walking in front of me. When they were about to take the escalator, I saw something dropped from one girl's pocket. As I moved forward to see what it is,

...it was a stack of RM50 notes.
(Could be RM500)

Without hesitation, I picked it up and called "HEY! The girl over there...! You drop your money." Immediately, they turned back and they were amazed that I returned her the money. They thanked me and continued our own ways. After that, something stroked through my mind, saying
"I thought I need money seriously?!"

Sitting down on a chair, thinking "God, it must be You who have changed my life brightly. If I do not have You, I must confess... I would steal the money if I was a young boy. If You are not in my life, I would not return back the money especially the time when I was in need of money. If You are not in my life, I will not automatically do a good deed by returning money when I was critically facing financial problem."

"I am amazed by You, God. You do not let me gone astrayed, and my life is still in Your love. You had changed me into a better person who would not EVEN think of stealing when I saw the RM50 notes. Seriously, I know I need You, instead of money. My body, my soul, my spirit, my all, they need You. I would understand You will be my provider. Indeed, I would say...

You reign in my life."

Jonah 2:6
"To the roots of the mountains I sank down; the earth beneath barred me in forever. But you brought my life up from the pit, O LORD my God."

Chapter 32: Painful Loss of Money

Today I lost RM200.
It was my two months pocket money.

In the morning, I went to fetch a youth leader from Beverly Hills because she needed to attend the Youth Cell Leader’s training. The traffic jam in Beverly Hills was extremely heavy.
Along the T junction, I had a chance to turn.

Suddenly, “CRACK!!!”

Car Accident

I turned back and saw a blue car behind me. It was a car accident. The driver told me to come down from the vehicle. I checked my own vehicle and found that it was alright. When I went to see the driver, he was smiling at me and said, (in Malay) “Luckily, it is just a scratch along the plastic on my bumper.” When I viewed the scratch, a small little piece of plastic broke off. I was relieved.

Without hesitation, he responded, “Therefore, you just need to change my bumper.” I was surprised, questioned “I thought you just need to change the plastic only?” He replied, “In workshop, no one sells a spare part for the plastic only. You just give me 2-5 (in malay).”

Giving out a relaxed sigh… Thanks God, I was relieved. “So I paid you RM25 now?”

“No, it’s RM250.”

To my horror, I was totally frozen in my actions. I felt a deep blade cut in my heart. It even pierced through my body. It was so painful. I cannot imagine how painful it is when I need to save money, and I lost it.

Oh no! My money! RM250!!! I can’t stand the pain in my heart. There were full of thoughts in my mind.

God, why does it happen when I need to save money for my future?” “God, I should not fetch this youth in the first place. So troublesome!” “God, why do you let this happen? God, I need money badly now.” “God, I do not want to fetch people anymore because it only brings trouble to me.” “God, because of this ministry, I met a car accident!!" "God, I even woke up early in the morning, now I need to face this crap?” “God, how I wish I do not serve! God, why does it have to be me?” "God, I want to blame you but it is not your fault! It's my carelessness. I do not know what to say!" “God, I want to hate you but I cannot hate! God, You know my need! Why...? Why...? Why...?

In times of hardship, it was too hard to praise the Lord. How am I supposed to open my mouth and say, “Don’t worry, everything does fine.”? I really can sense the importance of money is precious in my life. We always say, “We who serve in the church do not look at money higher than God. God is the one whom we depend on.”

However, it is not true. Who does not need money? When we lost our money (especially in times of need), I know we cannot be able to be joyful. It is too hard to smile. It was so painful to bear the HURT in my heart! How can it be recovered fully? Jesus, do you care for me? Somehow I believed God has a message for me. God wants me to live by faith. However, God… This is so hard to do. How do you want me to praise You at this time? God, how am I going to survive?

God… God… God…
What is this?!

Psalms 42:5
“Why are you downcast, O, my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.”

In the end, the person asked the workshop to get discount.
And it costs RM200. I praised God for that.
